Zulvata (“we”, “us”) is an English-language publication covering Bulgaria for diaspora and international readers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Email address — only if you subscribe to our newsletter. We store it to send you the newsletter and nothing else.
Usage & analytics data — we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, approximate location (derived from your IP), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This is aggregated and used to understand readership and improve coverage. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Server logs — standard technical logs (IP, timestamp, request) kept briefly for security and reliability.
How we use your data
To deliver the newsletter you asked for, to understand and improve what we publish, and to keep the site running and secure. We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
We use analytics cookies (Google Analytics). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on. Essential cookies needed to run the site cannot be disabled.
Who we share it with (service providers)
We rely on a small set of processors who handle data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database/storage, including newsletter emails), and Google Analytics (usage analytics). Newsletter emails may be sent via an email delivery provider. Some of these operate in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any email. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, or object to its processing. To do so, email privacy@zulvata.com.
Children
The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be noted on this page.
