Dimitar Berbatov, the former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker who won the Premier League golden boot in 2011, has announced a nationwide theatrical tour for the 2026-2027 season. He will star in a one-man show called Berbatov: Razkodirane (Berbatov: Decoding).

According to Standart, the show moves beyond football into life choices, difficult decisions, doubt, fear, ambition and the cost of success. Director Yana Titova is leading the staging. Music has been composed by Vladimir Ampov-Grafa, a popular Bulgarian singer-songwriter. The production was unveiled on a theatrical stage, with Berbatov appearing alongside Titova, Ampov-Grafa and executive producer Tanya Kolchakova.

Tour dates and tickets

The premiere will take place in Blagoevgrad, Berbatov's hometown, on 9 September 2026 at the Nikola Vaptsarov Dramatic Theatre. From there, 24 Chasa reports the tour moves to Pazardzhik on 1 October, Stara Zagora on 31 October and Pleven on 26 November. Tickets for all four dates are on sale at kupibilet.bg.

The full 2026-2027 tour is set to cover Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Shumen, Haskovo, Kazanlak, Gabrovo and Sofia. Exact dates for those cities have not yet been announced. The production team has said several surprises connected to Berbatov's appearances are also planned.

Context for Bulgarians abroad

Berbatov represented Bulgarian football at the top level of the Premier League during years when the national team struggled. The tour covers cities across Bulgaria rather than Sofia alone. Tickets for confirmed dates are available at kupibilet.bg, with additional city dates to follow.
