On the evening of July 11, the beach arena at Sts. Constantine and Helena Resort near Varna becomes the stage for one of Bulgaria's most-watched combat sports nights of the summer. Beyond Kickboxing reports that SENSHI 32 Grand Prix will feature 16 fighters from 13 countries competing across a Grand Prix bracket, reserve bouts, and super fights, with the action kicking off at 7:30 PM Eastern European Time. Two Bulgarian names sit at the center of the story: Ali Yuzeir and Zhulien Rikov.
Western context: SENSHI is a Varna-based international kickboxing promotion that regularly draws competitors and audiences from across Europe and beyond, making it one of Bulgaria's most visible exports in combat sports.
Ali Yuzeir: One Bulgarian, Three Possible Fights, One Night
Yuzeir carries the heavier burden on paper. He is the sole Bulgarian entered in the eight-man SENSHI middleweight Grand Prix at 85 kilograms, which means a winning run could require him to fight up to three times before the night is over. His opening-round opponent is Ireland's Joshua Akingbade, and that first matchup draws extra scrutiny precisely because the entire path to the tournament title and the SENSHI middleweight belt runs through it.
Beyond Kickboxing reports that Yuzeir's preparation has combined physical conditioning with dedicated film study, with coach Petar Petrov listed as his primary trainer and Dragomir Yordanov of Sports Club "Des" providing additional support. The camp's dual focus on fitness and tactical analysis reflects the reality of a single-night tournament format, where reading opponents quickly is just as important as lasting the distance.
